Just in case you're wondering, Red Clay Ramblings got its name because the webmaster gardens in Georgia's red clay. And though it has nothing to do with landscaping, she recalls Sunday afternoon drives through the North Georgia mountains in her family's shiny red Rambler station wagon (where there also happens to be a lot of red clay) from her childhood. That's where she fell in love with the beauty of the natural world, was first introduced to wildflowers, and began to know the trees.
